Originally plagiarized by William Rowley, it was only in the mid-19th century that the true authorship began to be discussed. Bound in publisher’s original green composition leather with the title stamped in gilt on the spine. Decorations stamped in gilt on the covers and spine. Four raised bands on the spine. All edges gilt. Marbled end papers. Publisher provided bookplate from original owner on front pastedown. Original ribbon bookmark. The interior is clean, clear, and crisp. With a pamphlet about the book and a letter from the publisher slipped in. Overall Fine+ condition.
