Bound in grained red morocco over boards with five raised bands on the spines and gilded borders and letters. Gilded lines on edges of the binding, somewhat rubbed on the lower sides. Gilded pages. Minor rubbing at edges and corners, else fine. Marbled endpapers. Bookplate of, 'Alexander Young, Writer,' to both front pastedowns. Pencil note on first blank from previous seller. Portrait frontispiece to first volume with some transfer to the title page. Interiors are clean and bright. With a full subscriber's list at the end of the second volume.
