In original, unclipped, jacket in a protective sheet with approximately 200 titles on the verso (see photo). The jacket has some edge wear, a few shallow chips, and two short, closed tears. Bound in red cloth over flexible boards with a gilded device on the front and gilded lettering on the spine. Generally solid and square with a crease at one corner and light shelf wear to lower edge. Red top-stain with some flecks of fading. Bookplate of a former owner on the front pastedown. The interior and text are age toned, otherwise they are clean and clear throughout. With a short, humorous, foreword by the author, first published here.
