Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1897. First U.S. Edition. Translated from the Policy by Jeremiah Curtin. Bound in green cloth over boards with gilded profile of Nero on the front and gilded lettering on the spine. Edgewear, slight rounding of two corners, square but getting towards a lean. Navy blue endpapers. Split along gutter between title and "The Works of Henry Sienkiewicz." The interior is lightly and evenly toned; it is otherwise clean and clear throughout. Solidly bound. With four pages of advertisements at the back.
