With a frontispiece and 17 black and white lithographs of illustrations by Louis Braunhold. No subsequent printings listed on title or copyright. Bound in original green cloth over boards with gilded lettering on the front and spine, an illustration of a castle in cream, gilding, and green on the front, and a Tudor rose on the spine. One bumped corner, minor edge wear, and a very slight lean. Generally, solidly bound and holding firmly. One illustration loose, but present, no other found weakness or loose pages. Early ink signature on ffep. The interior is clean, clear, and crisp.
