First edition with 1933 on the title and copyright pages and no subsequent printings listed on copyright page. In original, unclipped jacket with signs of use including toning to the spine, tears at corners, and chipping. Bound in publisher's black cloth over boards with debossed borders on the front and gilding on the spine. Modest shelf wear with some rubbing; solid and square. Faded top-stain, and a few minor ink dots along the long edge. A bookplate from a former owner on the front pastedown. The interior and text are clean, clear, and bright.
