Contents listed: Review of Principal Crops, Study of Soils, Fruit Culture, Sheep Husbandry, Communications, Meteorological Tables, and Statistical Information. Bound in contemporary marbled boards and half leather with gilded lines and lettering on the spine. General heavy wear including loss of corner leather, rubbing, scuffing, and loss of marbled paper on the back; all holding firm and remaining square. Some old ink initials and short signatures, stamp on title; the interior is generally toned with some foxing and a marginal stain to the upper margin through the middle section of the book. Some pages poorly trimmed with large uncut corners, sometimes folded into the book and some protruding. All text is clear; images and diagrams for, "Wine making near Cincinati, with plans of a winehouse and machinery," among many other reports, details, and data around agriculture in the United States in 1850.
