London: Longmans, Green and Co, 1948. First Edition. First printing. In original, unclipped, jacket in protective sheet. A few tears along edge of turn-ins, and some chipping. Bound in blue cloth over boards with gilded facsimile signature on front and gilded lettering on the spine. Some scuffing to rear panel, minor shelfwear, one lightly bumped corner; solid and square. Blue top-stain, some spotting to long edge. The interior is lightly toned with infrequent marginal spotting; generally clean and clear with no inscriptions or markings.
