Strabane: John Bellew, 1783. First Edition. First and only edition of this collection of letters detailing the history of Ireland as known by William Crawford, one of the Chaplains of the First Tyrone Regiment. In two complete volumes with a long list of subscriber's in the first volume. Uniformly bound in quarter leather and marbled boards. The spines have four raised bands with labels and gilding; volume two with some loss of leather at head of spine and cracking to the label. Marble paper rubbed at edges and minor cracking at joints. Old booksellers sticker on front pastedowns and former owner signatures (in a few hands). Pages are toned with minor spotting, all text is clear.
