First published in 1910/1911, the book was a scandalous sensation in its characterizations of society figures and its free discussions of sex. This is an early printing, 1917. Bound in red cloth over boards with a debossed label on front with gilded lettering on front and spine. The spine is darkened, there is some rubbing to the eges and gentle bumping to corners; solid and square. The interior is lightly and evenly toned, it is otherwise clean and clear.
