Second state, lacking the 't' on page 64, line 8 [only 25 copies of the first were ever known to have been produced]. In original, unclipped, jacket in protective sheet. The front turn-in is detached, but present; minor chipping at head and tail of spine. Bound in grey-green cloth over boards with blue lettering and lines on front and spine. Solid and square, with some minor rubbing at edges. The interior is evenly toned, otherwise it is clean and clear. The first posthumously published works by Mansfield, this includes some complete stories, as well as incomplete stories.
