Middletown, CT: E. & H. Clark, 1827. First Edition. Uniformly bound by Forster, Job Book Binder, 142 Fulton St. New York [sticker inside each front cover]. Marbled boards with black leather spine and corners. Gilded lettering on spine with five bands. General wear and rubbing to the covers and edges, all bound solidly. Degrees of foxing throughout, some pages more affected, but all text is legible. Volumes II and III have some dampstaining to the top margins, volume II slightly more so but with nominal impacts to text and all remains legibale. Contemporary or early owner's signature to title pages. Copyright page begins, "Be it remembered, that on the seventeenth day of July, in the fifty-second year of the Independence of the United States of America, E. B. Williston, of the said District, hath deposited in this Office, the title of a Book, the right whereof he claims Author an Proprietor, in the words following - to wit :..."
