Paris: Pierre Bricage & Fernand Mourlot, 1948. Aristide Maillol. 1st Edition. An exceptional edition with 35 lithographs by Aristide Maillol. Number 157/275 on hand-made paper in vellum covers inside vellum over boards with original slipcase. The leaves are loose, each leaf only folded once. The stones used for the lithographs were destroyed after the publication. All pages present but without the further limited inserts only present in 50 of the prints. Text in French. Some discoloration to the vellum. Light toning to the edges of some of the leaves. Slipcase solid but slightly soiled and with some creasing. Overall very good, nearly fine condition.
