First edition thus from The Modern Library based on titles listed on verso of dust jacket. In original, unclipped, dust jacket in mylar with some light creasing and chipping at edges; no clipping, but turn in corners appear slightly trimmed. Green cloth over boards with gilded lettering and frame around black label on front and spine. Corners barely bumped, bookplate to front pastdown, some minor spotting to the first few pages prior to text. Top fore edge stained blue. Infrequent underlining in text, otherwise clean and clear. Near fine.
