First edition a stated on copyright page; first state with shortened title page. In original dust jacekt, price-clipped, with creases and a few chips to edges; in mylar and backed by paper. Red cloth over boards with embossed 'SL' on front and gilded lettering on spine; a little dusty, otherwise fine. Long fore edge is deckled, bottom fore edge is rough cut. Interior is lightly toned with a handful of small marginal dots; otherwise clean and clear.
