First edition thus from Boni and Liveright, which would soon become The Modern Library, with Brodzky endpapers. Brown leatherette over flexibile boards with publisher's device on front cover and title, author, and publisher inside double rule on spine. Rubbing to head and tail corners of spine, crease down center of spine, light rubbing to extremities, 1 inch tear to back endpaper, and small stain on same. Top fore edge stained to match leatherette, interior lightly toned, otherwise fine. A very good surviving 1st Thus. No dust jacket.
