Leather and marbled paper over boards. Spine has five slightly raised bands and reads, “Time & Tide – Political Economy of Art,” followed by, “Ruskin.” Gilded top fore edge. Rubbing and scuffs to edges. Bookplate inside front cover reads, “Wm H. Sage;” possibly William H. Sage, a medal of honor recipient and major general in the U.S. Army at the turn of the 20th century. Additional reseach would be needed to confirm. Small stamp on first blank reads, “G. P. Putnam’s Sons 27 West 23 St. N. Y.” Some pages uncut. Overall, solid binding.
