Venetiis (Venice): Ioan Gryphium, 1584. Early Edition. Original limp vellum covers repaired with new/modern backing to support and fill in for tears and points of weakness. Spine cocked, and also repaired to support. Text is mostly clean, some old worm holes with minimal impacts to text. First blank is covered in old notes, likely from many different hands over time. Sporadic notes and minor/old ink stains throughout - minimal to no text impact. Seven woodcuts, the first showing the poet in his studio and the others a repeat of an actor in a theatre with an audience. Terentius wrote six plays, all of which are represented in their entirety here.
